AGM

The clubs Annual General Meeting will be held this Sunday (9th November) at 7pm at the Fishermans Return pub in the village.

All players and members are encouraged to attend to have their say on the running of the cricket club.

Winterton Cricket Club are a friendly and ambitious club located on the picturesque East Coast of Norfolk, just North of Great Yarmouth.

The club were only formed in 1985 and entered its 1st XI into the Norfolk Cricket League in 1992 and will be playing in Division 2 in the forthcoming season.

The A team will play the 2008 season in Division 6 after an impressive season last time around following a double promotion in 2006. They joined the Norfolk Cricket League in 1998.

Winterton also run a Sunday friendly XI playing fixtures most weekends throughout the season. The club have always offered the opportunity for junior players to play senior cricket and that showed more than ever in the 2007 season with all three teams containing a number of players from its junior section.

In preparation for the forthcoming season Winterton are always looking for new players to strengthen the clubs teams so anyone looking for cricket whatever age or ability they may be should contact Bryn Clarke for further details on 01493 722405.
